Big East Basketball is continuing to stake its claim as the best conference in college basketball, and the offseason is a big time to do that.

Talks around these teams will be about having the reigning national champion in the UConn Huskies, but there are plenty of other winners of the offseason here.

Other teams will unfortunately not be able to match up to some of the moves the teams at the top of the Big East, and they will indeed go down as losers of the offseason.

These teams are in constant contest with each other to outmatch one another in off-season moves, but how about the first three teams to go down as losers of this heated point in the year?

3. Seton Hall Pirates

Coach Shaheen Holloway and his Seton Hall Pirates suffered plenty of losses throughout the year, and their improvements are solid, but they still have gotten worse.

They lost players such as Tyrese Samuel, KC NDefo, and Tae Davis as they lost a mix of the now, and the future for this team.

The Hall only has one commit in this class so far with Isaiah Coleman, a four-star, and they picked up a few three-star transfers, but it will come down to how this team meshes.

Seton Hall did potentially fix their guard depth issue with Dylan Addae-Wusu coming over from St. John’s, and they picked up Elijah Hutchins-Everett and Jaden Bediako for their frontcourt, but they did not make that upgrade they needed.

Coaches take time to develop programs, establish a culture, and put their foot down on a program, and it will take Holloway some time to put this team in the winner’s column next offseason.
