We’re entering a pivotal time in NCAA Basketball, with the NBA Draft deadline approaching. That’s caused a ripple effect regarding the transfer portal, as there are a few names that have recently been entered. There also have been a number of top-100 class of 2023 prospects that have been making decisions of their own, picking teams for the upcoming season.

There still are a number of quality “free agents” available, whether via the transfer portal or at the high school level. However, look for quite a few to come off the board soon. For the teams still looking for additional talent, here’s a list of the remaining key players out there.

Honorable Mention: DeMarr Langford – Boston College Eagles

Langford is a 6’5 guard that started 54 games in three years with the Eagles, averaging 8.8 ppg and 4.0 rpg. He’s not much of a shooter but is a capable role player at the power conference level, still with two years left of eligibility.

HM: D’Marco Dunn – North Carolina Tar Heels

Dunn is a former top-60 prospect that averaged just 10 mpg off the bench, one of many Tar Heels that were buried. He did have 14 points in 26 minutes against Louisville in his lone double-digit scoring game. At a new stop with a likely larger role, Dunn could be a breakout player to watch with two years left.

HM: William McNair Jr. – Mississippi State Bulldogs

The 6’10 center spent his first three years at New Mexico State before moving to the SEC. He’s a career 3.9 ppg and 3.3 rpg in four seasons but is a solid defender and can eat up minutes as a backup big man. Seeing how valuable the position has been in the transfer portal, look for McNair to still have plenty of interest in his final year of eligibility.
