Michigan Wolverines
It’s been a rough offseason for Michigan to this point. They lost their top three scorers and dealt with the Caleb Love saga, where they landed the UNC lead scorer but then had to part ways due to reported issues with admissions. And things didn’t get any better on Thursday, as the team missed out on Toledo transfer Rayj Dennis, who ended up picking Baylor.
The good news is that the Wolverines must have known their odds of landing Dennis wasn’t high, so they focused their attention more on Pullin. And compared to the other options on this list, he has the chance to be the lead guard for this team.
Dug McDaniel is the top returning guard, coming off averaging 8.6 ppg and 3.6 apg as a freshman. Also in the backcourt is Jaelin Llewellyn, who suffered a season-ending injury after just a few games last season. Michigan also landed Alabama transfer Nimari Burnett but he needs to either graduate this Summer or get a waiver to play next year.
The Wolverines may have lost too much talent this offseason to be a viable NCAA Tournament team, even with Pullin. But the ability for him to be a focal point of the offense remains a legit selling point. Michigan’s chances of landing him will ultimately depend on what means more to the grad transfer.
