Kentucky Wildcats

It’s been a long offseason to this point for the Wildcats. They’ve yet to land a transfer and went 1/3 with its NBA Draft decisions. Not only is National Player of the Year center Oscar Tshiebwe gone but also is forward Chris Livingston, the starting freshman at the four-spot.

The only player that came back was Antonio Reeves but there have been rumors that he can end up entering the transfer portal sometime next week. Whether that happens or now, there’s “technically”, a massive need at the forward position. The reason why I use that word in quotes is that they have five-star combo forward Justin Edwards coming in, along with five-star big man Aaron Bradshaw, who reportedly would like to play some at the power forward spot.

But Kaluma were to join them, then he’ll be the primary four-man without question. And he’d get a good amount of the offensive usage rate, though what the five-star freshmen guards do will have a say in that because DJ Wagner and Robert Dillingham are quality scorers in their own rights.

This is a weird Kentucky roster that on paper, isn’t as good as the team Kaluma left. But it’s a national program and a chance for Kaluma to be on every pro scouts radars next season.
