Kansas Jayhawks

You don’t want to make the obvious comparison between players but the hope for McNeeley is that he has a freshman year like Gradey Dick just had with the Jayhawks. He was second on the team in scoring and is currently a projected NBA Draft lottery pick. While Dick is a better pure scorer, the team could benefit from having McKeeley’s all-around game if he were to pick them.

Kansas will be without both Kevin McCullar and Towson transfer Nick Timberlake definitely after next season and four-star combo guard Chris Jackson had just de-committed. So there’s definitely going to be room available for the five-star to come in and have a nice impact. He’ll have to be exclusively a wing assuming that KJ Adams sticks around at the four-spot but that shouldn’t be an issue.

Michigan Wolverines

It’s been an offseason full of struggles for Michigan, losing players to the transfer and not being able to land very many back. However, the program under Coach Juwan Howard still has become a quiet factory of sending players to the NBA Draft, including a pair of projected top-40 picks this season, Jett Howard and Kobe Bufkin.

The roster is going to look very different after next season and that should be a good thing. However, it’s far from a guarantee that Coach Howard is back if the team doesn’t make the NCAA Tournament or if the reported restrictions from admissions in the portal era cause the coach to move on. It can be a great place for a top prospect to go to but there are some behind-the-scenes issues that need to be dealt with first.
