Recruiting battle: Saint Louis vs Western Kentucky vs Memphis

The number of big men available is dwindling by the day as players such as Isaiah Miranda (OK State) and Will McNair Jr. (Providence) have recently made commitments. So guys such as Dandridge become even bigger a commodity in the transfer portal.

The big man doesn’t have a ton of production from the past four years at Memphis, mainly being a backup. But Dandridge is the veteran body that at bare minimum can give a team 15-20 mpg at the center position.

When he entered the portal, Dandridge had a fair amount of interest but rumors emerged that a reunion with the Tigers could be in the works. That’s because the program literally doesn’t have a center on the roster after missing out on multiple targets in the portal. However, they’re also looking to potentially get back star forward Deandre Williams back for an extra year.

If Memphis isn’t in the picture, look for the two new programs involved to try and get Dandridge. Saint Louis needs a big man after losing Francis Okoro, while WKU lost Jamarion Sharp to Ole Miss via the transfer portal. Both could offer a starting role to the center and are each rebuilding and the loser between them won’t likely have any better options at the five-spot.
