Oklahoma

Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for Porter Moser in his first two seasons with the Sooners and things aren’t getting any easier. Oklahoma shed their top three scorers from last season, leaving them to replace Tanner Groves, Jalen Hill, and Grant Sherfield by depending on the Transfer Portal. Moser has added Siena point guard Javian McCollum, Utah Valley guard Le’Tre Darthard, Oregon wing Rivaldo Soares, and Pitt center John Hugley IV.

Not only could the Sooners seriously use the production that Brown would bring to Norman, but there’s a connection here that plays in their favor. The Sooners recently hired Brock Morris as an assistant; Morris was the one who recruited Brown to Louisiana a few seasons ago. Could he bring Brown over to Oklahoma? He’d certainly play a starring role for Oklahoma in their final season in the Big 12.

San Diego State

A majority of programs underachieve or fall short of their goals each season but San Diego State blew national expectations out of the water by marching to the national championship game. Brian Dutcher’s hard work with this program has truly paid off, though some of those biggest pieces are gone for this upcoming season, including leading scorer Matt Bradley, Nathan Mensah, and Keshad Johnson to name a few.

The Aztecs have masterfully used the Transfer Portal to fill holes on the roster, doing that again this offseason by plucking Reese Dixon-Waters from USC. A California native, Brown would certainly fill a multiple of roles on this Aztecs squad. A solid defender, he could help replace the hole left behind by Mensah’s graduation while also bringing some of that scoring ability that they lost with Bradley’s departure. Who cares that they’re in the MWC, everyone (including Brown) saw how long they were dancing last season.
