UAB

Since Andy Kennedy returned as head coach of his alma mater in 2020, this UAB program is on an upward trajectory. The Blazers played in the NCAA Tournament in 2022 before making the title game of the NIT this past season, though they’re also losing star Jordan Walker, who was phenomenal for the program. In his absence, the Blazers are leaning heavily on pieces like Christian Coleman, Eric Gaines, and Alejandro Vazquez to take up the reins.

Pieces both old and new are in place for the Blazers, but adding Brown would really allow them to make noise in their first season in the AAC. They’ve already added a couple of JUCO forwards to shore up the back end, but Brown would be a high impact scorer and contributor and something that this lineup is sorely lacking. UAB is a program that’s won a lot of games in recent years and Brown would certainly contribute to that tradition.

Washington State

While not exactly a premier program in the Pac-12, Washington State could be an intriguing landing spot for Brown. The Cougars shed some of their talent from recent seasons, replacing their top 4 scorers from last year, including TJ Bamba and Mouhamed Gueye. With head coach Kyle Smith already landed Joseph Yesufu of Kansas and Isaac Jones from Idaho, there’s always room for more talent.

Washington State has a solid history with getting production out of athletic bigs and Brown fits that role for the Cougars. He’d be playing ball on the west coast and be back in the Pac-12 again. Brown would also become the best piece on a roster that also features Jabe Mullins and Andrej Jakimovski returning. Washington State isn’t expected to compete this upcoming season, though Brown has a certain chance to become a focal point and further expand his profile.
