Kansas State Wildcats

The Wildcats have just landed one transfer this offseason, Tylor Perry of North Texas. However, the program has yet to add another player from the portal. They are after some of the remaining targets, including Creighton transfer, Arthur Kaluma.

There’s still a need for another guard to help replace Markquis Nowell. And while Perry is a good scoring guard, he still has a career passing average of 2.3 apg. He can play off the ball if Mulcahy were to arrive and give Kansas State a much-needed Big 12 talent. Without him, they could struggle next season unless Perry becomes a superstar.

Kentucky Wildcats

The Wildcats were one of a few programs that initially reached out to Mulcahy. Maybe it’s out of desperation since the program hasn’t landed a single transfer and there are rumors that senior guard Antonio Reeves could enter the portal in the next week or so. If that happens, there won’t be a single guard with any experience on the slim roster for next season.

Although Kentucky has a pair of five-star ball-handlers in Robert Dillingham and DJ Wagner, the team could use a veteran to help manage the incredibly young roster. Mulcahy doesn’t need many shots and that would work well with the more ball-dominant freshmen. Going from Rutgers to the SEC juggernaut would be big for his national profile as well.
