LSU Tigers

The Tigers have their first commit in the 2024 class in three-star guard, Devon Pryor. Coach Matt McMahon is looking to rebound from finishing last in the SEC in his first year with the program and after landing six good transfers, should be able to take a jump upward.

There’s plenty of room for Betsey to come in and have a featured role on the wing. Vandy transfer Jordan Wright has just one year left and former four-star prospect Tyrell Ward needs big improvement in order to not get passed up on the depth chart. There may be some concerns with how viable a winning roster Betsey would be joining so like with Indiana, this is a “wait and see” kind of option as well.

UConn Huskies

Coming off winning a national title, of course, the Huskies are going to be on players’ minds. But considering that they’re the local option for Betsey, this could simply be perfect timing for both the team and player involved. And besides winning in March, Coach Dan Hurley is showing that he can turn players into future NBA pros, as both Jordan Hawkins and Andre Jackson are projected 1st-round picks in the draft a couple of weeks from now.

With them gone, along with both Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer leaving after next year as well will create a brand new roster for UConn. Assuming that Alex Karaban remains around, Betsey would be exclusively at the three-spot. But that frontcourt, along with incoming freshman five-star guard Stephon Castle being around, creates yet another potent future lineup for the program.
