13. Evan Singletary

The Great Danes needed backcourt weapons nearly a decade ago and came up big from the junior college level. Singletary is a 6’1 combo guard who arrived at Albany in 2014 after spending a pair of seasons at Moberly Community College. His two seasons with the Great Danes were certainly productive enough to warrant inclusion, especially at this point in the list.

Singletary shot over 40% from beyond the arc in his first season on campus, averaging right around 13 points per game for his career with the Great Danes. He was an efficient shooter, with solid figures all around the court. He helped lead Albany to what remains their most recent NCAA Tournament trip in 2015, scoring 13 points against Oklahoma.

Singletary was twice named First Team All-America East and helped lead this program to a record of 47-18. He was a major addition for Will Brown’s program and keyed two of their most recent seasons of great success. Albany was 10-0 when Singletary scored at least 20 points in a game, while he also made notable contributions on the defensive side of the ball. Albany benefited greatly from Singletary’s production in the backcourt.
