10. Finn Sullivan
Sullivan is from San Diego and this 6’4 combo guard began his collegiate career playing for his hometown college. After three seasons with the Toreros in the WCC, he transferred to Vermont to spend his final two years, including the bonus year from the pandemic. He was with the Catamounts for these last two seasons and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament as a result.
We’re focusing on his work solely at Vermont, but that works in Sullivan’s favor as he was a much more productive player in the northeast. In his first year with the Catamounts, he worked his way into the starting lineup quickly. His final collegiate season saw him become an all-around weapon at Vermont, averaging 11.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, with decent assists numbers as well. Sullivan had an impressive stretch near the end of the season, with six 20-point efforts in a nine game stretch in conference play.
That late burst in his fifth collegiate season is a big reason why he was named the America East Player of the Year for 2023. He had minimal contributions in the Catamount’s Tournament performances, with just 4 points and 5 assists against Marquette this past year, but he was a major factor for Vermont throughout these last two seasons. Vermont finished 51-7 with him in the backcourt and it was certainly a major step up from his previous years with the Toreros.
