25. Clarence Daniels

A 6’6 wing originally from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, Daniels took quite the path to get to New Hampshire. He started his career at Montana State-Billings, playing mostly as a reserve center early in his career for the Yellowjackets, a D2 school. After losing his next season due to the national pandemic, Daniels spent a season playing at Lake Region State College in North Dakota before finding his way to the America East in 2022.

This past season was Daniels’ first with the Wildcats and he made a major impression right off the bat. He instantly became New Hampshire’s impact player, leading the team with 15.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. He clearly had a handful of double-doubles, including a 34-point, 14-rebound effort in an early December road win at Boston College, one of the biggest highlights of the season for the Wildcats.

Overall, Daniels was a major weapon for the Wildcats and was named First Team All-America East as a result of this season. He was certainly one of the best newcomers in the league and also had a 22-point, 14-rebound effort against Bryant in the first round of the conference tournament. It wasn’t a great offensive season for New Hampshire, but Daniels was certainly a bright spot in Bill Herrion’s final year leading the program.
