Entering the final weeks of June the notable players of the NCAA Basketball transfer portal is down to a select few. Guys such as Paul Mulcahy, Jordan Brown, and Grant Nelson are still available but after this weekend, several more could join.

That’s because of the situation at West Virginia. Over the weekend, Hall of Fame head coach Bob Huggins was reportedly arrested for a DUI after being caught driving in a car with a blood alcohol level three times over the legal limit. And after another situation around a month ago regarding inappropriate comments made on the radio, the University made the tough decision to part ways.

This now creates a very tough circumstance. Throughout the offseason, the Mountaineers were viewed as one of the “winners” in the offseason, landing several key transfers. But now, will they all stay or en-enter the transfer portal? That may ultimately depend on what happens with the coaching search and whether the players, including the newcomers, are willing to play for them.

If that doesn’t happen, there could be a roster exodus, with a few guys becoming top-tier options in the portal. And there are still a number of programs, including Alabama, Memphis, Kentucky, and Michigan that have both spots and needs in June. Almost all of them could be eligible, including several frontcourt pieces.

Here’s a look at five specific players to watch. including what they can offer and which teams may be interested in their services.
