Cal Bears

It’s been an awesome offseason for the Bears, landing five transfers that’ll all be part of the rotation. The only player where there’s a question of eligibility is Jaylon Tyson, a 6’8 combo forward from Texas Tech and a two-time transfer that needs a waiver. Whether that happens or not, there’d be plenty of room for Lawson to join and he could very well start next to center Fardaws Aimaq for the rebuilding program.

DePaul Blue Demons

Another team that could use some frontcourt help is Depaul, who after losing Nick Ongenda to the NBA Draft, has mainly Da’Sean Nelson as the lone returning piece inside. Lawson would easily be able to start and be a focal point of the offense. The question here is whether the risk of playing for a bottom-tier team in the Big East and a slim chance of making the NCAA Tournament plays a factor here.

Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines have landed a power forward this offseason in Olivier Nkamhoua but there’s a way to fit in Lawson. They can slide Nkamhoua to the center position at times since they only have Tarris Reed at that spot. Plus, the wing position is wide open so the former Tiger could play there as well. But admittedly, another forward isn’t among the most pressing needs for Michigan but they do need more talent overall among what’s left in the portal.
