Santa Barbara Gauchos

The Gauchos have been one of the best programs in the Big West this past season and had a pair of very successful transfers in Andre Kelly and Miles Norris, two former power conference players. They landed former Auburn center and five-star prospect Yohan Traore and did have Kansas transfer Zach Clemence but he reportedly is going back to the Jayhawks. This would be ideal for the program if they can get Lawson in place of Clemence to pair with Traore.

South Carolina Gamecocks

South Carolina lost one of the better power forwards in NCAA Basketball last season in GG Jackson, who is off to the NBA. Replacing him are multiple transfer options, including Wofford’s BJ Mack, and Myles Stute, a double-digit scorer from Vanderbilt. This is a situation where the Gamecocks, who finished in the bottom tier in the SEC last season, are looking for more talent on the roster and Lawson would add to it.

Saint Louis Billikens

The Billikens have lost a ton of talent this offseason, including just about its entire frontcourt. They had originally added Oklahoma transfer CJ Noland but he switched to North Texas instead. So Saint Louis truly doesn’t have a great option at the four-spot and Lawson could come in and get a ton of minutes and play his largest role yet.

As expected, this list includes a mix of teams that have minutes available but not win, along with some that are fairly loaded. However, both Arkansas and Cal stand out as teams that Chandler Lawson could have a solid rotation spot while also having a chance to make the Big Dance.
