6:  Amen Thompson (Overtime Elite) – Houston Rockets

Amen Thompson is a crafty player with exceptional footwork and incredible speed in transition. Last season, he averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game with Overtime Elite. The 6-foot-7 guard is a great passer who will join an athletic Houston Rockets roster led by head coach Ime Udoka.

On Thursday night, Amen and his brother Ausar joined Lonzo and Lamelo Ball as the second pair of brothers drafted in the Top 5 of the NBA Draft in the common era. With Amen being selected fourth overall and Ausar going fifth, the Thompson twins become the first brothers in NBA history to get drafted back-to-back.

While Ausar could stand out in the future with the Detroit Pistons, look for Amen to make an immediate impact as a part of a young, talented Houston Rockets rotation that includes Kevin Porter Jr, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr, and Tari Eason.

5: Taylor Hendricks (UCF) – Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz had a difficult decision with the ninth overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft; however, they decided to continue to build their frontcourt by picking up Central Florida forward Taylor Hendricks.

The 6-foot-9 big man is a multi-positional defender who can stretch the floor in Salt Lake City. Last season with the Knights, he averaged 15.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and a conference-leading 1.7 blocks per game as a freshman. Hendricks plays with a high motor and is an elite rim protector who should play exceptionally well next to Walker Kessler in Utah.
