15. Tyler Kalinoski

A 6’4 combo guard originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Kalinoski made his way east to Davidson way back in 2011. He was actually a bench piece early in his career when the Wildcats were still in the SoCon and didn’t really emerge into a major threat until he was an upperclassman. Davidson joined the A-10 in 2014 in time for Kalinoski’s senior season and it was quite the introduction to the league.

Kalinoski averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game as a senior, statistics that unsurprisingly were all career highs. He had a career-high 32 points in his final regular season game against Duquesne and led the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament, though he struggled in a first round loss to Iowa. He became Davidson’s leading scorer that season and helped lead them to a remarkable 14-4 conference record in their first season in the A-10.

Kalinoski’s contributions were rewarded as he was named A-10 Player of the Year for that fantastic senior campaign. He was among the conference’s leaders in points, assists, and 3-point percentage, hitting over 42% of those shots. Clearly he contributed a ton for the Wildcats earlier in his career, but that final season alone was successful enough to get him mentioned today.
