Atlantic 10 Basketball: Ranking of 25 best players from last decade (2013-23)
By Joey Loose
18. Luka Brajkovic
A 6’10 forward from Austria, Brajkovic made his way to Davidson in 2018, becoming one of the final international prospects to star under Bob McKillop with the Wildcats. He was a mainstay in their frontcourt for four successful seasons, emerging as an impactful weapon all over the court.
Brajkovic averaged at least 10 points and 5 rebounds a game in each of his four collegiate seasons. Despite his size, he developed into a decent long-range shooter, making 40% of his attempts as a senior, albeit with limited opportunities. His overall offensive game got better as his career progressed, while he was also a decent shot blocker and ball distributor as well. His career included a number of double-doubles and ended with an 18-point effort against Michigan State in an NCAA Tournament loss in 2022.
That final season proved to be his greatest and saw him named A-10 Player of the Year as a result. Brajkovic was vital in Davidson’s frontcourt for his entire career and was one of the nation’s most accurate shooters during that final campaign. He helped lead Davidson to another trip to the Big Dance and did all the little things on the court for the Wildcats.
