Creighton Bluejays

Creighton had one of the better power forwards in NCAA Basketball in Arthur Kaluma. However, he transferred out to Kansas State. In his place are a couple of options, including Virginia transfer Isaac Traudt and redshirt sophomore, Mason Miller. Neither are proven options for a team that’s in a position to win now next season.

The Bluejays’ backcourt is set with Trey Alexander, Baylor Scheierman, and Utah State transfer, Steven Ashworth. And center Ryan Kalkbrenner is one of the best in the country. Mitchell is arguably even better than Kaluma and for a team that was minutes away from the Final Four last season, having him could be the piece that takes them over the top.

Dayton Flyers

Mitchell started out his career at an A-10 program in UMass and is familiar with the Flyers. They return star big man DaRon Holmes and all of the guards. However, they’re missing forward Toumani Camara, who got picked in the second round of the NBA Draft.

Dayton isn’t a power conference program but they’re big enough to keep Mitchell in the national spotlight. Plus, the Flyers are going to be better than most power conference teams that’ll try to land him anyways. He can go back to this level and average around 20 ppg again while playing for a top-25 caliber roster.
