Duquesne Dukes
It was one of the best past seasons for the Dukes in 20 years, winning 20 games. And they return most of its roster and landed several frontcourt transfers, including Dusan Mahorcic from NC State and the Drame twins, Hassan and Fousseyni. Also back are double-digit scoring guards, Dae Dae Grant and Tre Clark.
The one guard that isn’t back is Tevin Brewer, opening up a hole at the point guard position. Like what former Cincy guard Mika Woods-Adams did by going to St. Bonaventure, Toussaint can come down and get 30 mpg as the starting point guard on a top-100 roster. And with him, Duquesne would become arguably the team to beat in the A-10 next season.
Fordham Rams
Fordham is in a similar situation as Duquesne, being an A-10 program coming off a breakout campaign and looking to build momentum, winning 25 total games and making the conference tournament semifinals. They too lost a key guard in leading scorer, Darius Quisenberry.
The Rams have a few good guards, including Kyle Rose and Antrell Charlton. But there’s a need for a scoring threat and as he showed this past season at WVU, Toussaint can take that role for the up-and-coming program. And if he can take them into being A-10 contenders and possibly an NCAA Tournament appearance, Toussaint would become a legend. Plus, it’s close to home as well.
