Kansas State Wildcats

The Wildcats have North Texas transfer Tylor Perry as its lead guard for next season. But there’s not a lot of proven depth behind him, as Markquis Nowell, Tykei Greene, and Desi Sills have all moved on. The team has reserve guard Cam Carter back, along with four-star incoming freshmen, Darrin Ames and RJ Jones.

Toussaint is a natural combo guard and his ability to play both on and off the ball would be very helpful for Kansas State. Considering that it’s not known which position Perry is best suited for at the Big 12 level, having another proven power conference talent take up minutes in the backcourt would be helpful.

Michigan Wolverines

Michigan has been linked to almost every guard in the offseason, especially once former commit Caleb Love had to part ways a month ago and go to Arizona. The current backcourt setup includes starting guard Dug McDaniel, Alabama transfers Nimari Burnett, top-100 freshman ball-handler George Washington and Jaelin Llewellyn, a former transfer from Princeton that played just eight games before suffering a season-ending injury.

There’s basically little proven production outside of a 9.0 ppg scorer in McDaniel. Toussaint would be another capable rotation player with a chance to start in the backcourt. There’s already a familiarity on both sides since he’s a former Iowa player and after seeing the team send two players to the top-15 of the NBA Draft, Coach Juwan Howard clearly can develop players into future pros.
