Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Cornhuskers have been after guards all throughout the offseason, looking to find a replacement for Sam Griesel. They actually have already landed one former Hawkeye in Ahron Ulis, who started for them this past season. Assuming that Ulis and Toussaint have a good relationship, the program could have an advantage if they were to try and go after him.

Kerr Kriisa is also in the transfer portal from WVU and Nebraska was reportedly in the mix the first time around. But while he’s not as good as Kriisa, Toussaint may be a more viable option for the Big Ten program instead of getting into a bidding battle for the other ball-handler. Plus, he’s a solid player that’s already played in the conference and wouldn’t have a transition process.

Penn State Nittany Lions

The program has completely rebuilt itself after losing its head coach, landing former VCU leader, Mike Rhoades. Among the new backcourt players are VCU transfer and former A-10 Player of the Year Ace Baldwin, UNC guard D’Marco Dunn and RayQuawndis Mitchell, a 17 ppg transfer from Kansas City.

Between Dunn not having much of a resume and the others being mid-major transfers, this isn’t a guarantee that the backcourt will work out. Toussaint would get a nice role in the rotation and provide a needed offensive lift while being more efficient than Mitchell. Plus, it’s a familiar Big Ten program that’s also close to home.
