Kansas State Wildcats
The Wildcats have two of the top individual transfer pickups this offseason in Tylor Perry and Arthur Kaluma. Yet there are still some more holes for them to cover on the roster, including in the backcourt. Perry was a lead guard at North Texas but is more of a scorer than a pure passer.
Adding Kriisa would allow Perry to play more off-the-ball, which would be better for both him and the team. And while comparing him to All-American guard Markquis Nowell isn’t ideal, this is an offensive system that can allow Kriisa to potentially reach another level in his game. And if that happens along with the other transfers, Kansas State will get back to being a Big 12 contender.
Miami Hurricanes
The backcourt duo of Nijel Pack and Isaiah Wong was one of the best in NCAA Basketball last season and good enough to make it to the Final Four. But ACC Player of the Year Wong is gone and while Pack is a capable ball-handler, he hasn’t had as much success as a lead guard, running the offense.
Kriisa would be a great fit alongside Pack in the backcourt since one is more of a passer and other is a big-time shooter. And he and Norchad Omier would be a great pick-and-roll duo as well. Miami could use one more starter to feel good and with Wooga Poplar and FSU transfer Matthew Cleveland on the wings, that’s a lot of talent that the former Zona/WVU guard can work with.
