Memories are made on a regular basis in all sports but the NCAA Tournament seems to give us remarkable moments every year. These moments, both in the postseason and before, would not be possible without all the hard work that goes into them, from the players to the coaches to everyone in between. This is much more evident in the power conferences at the programs that regularly win tons of ballgames, including in the Big Dance.

Our focus isn’t specifically on memories in the NCAA Tournament, but instead on some of the players who created those memories. We’re continuing a relatively new and long-running series that looks at the best players from the last ten seasons from each of the current college conferences. This is the fourth piece in the series, but it’s a big one as our focus turns to ACC Basketball.

We don’t need to spell it out for most people: the ACC is a power conference and one of the very best in the nation. Duke, North Carolina, and Virginia have all won titles in the last decade and other programs have made deep runs into the NCAA Tournament. Five-star prospects regularly star for these schools and plenty of big names have come and gone from these colleges in recent years.

Our series is only focused on what specific players have accomplished in the past decade in each conference. If a player spent a few seasons at another school in a different conference, then we’re not really considering or including those seasons in the ranking. This really isn’t a problem in a conference like the ACC, though players who transferred into the league won’t be judged based on their team in other conferences. Anyways, this is a long way of saying that we’re looking at just the best ACC players since 2013, so let’s do it.
