8. Ahsan Asadullah

Arriving at Lipscomb way back in 2017, Asadullah is a 6’8 big man who played an important role in Lipscomb’s success in the ASUN in recent times. He redshirted his first year after suffering a significant injury and would play five total seasons with the Bisons. A bench piece as a freshman, he was a major weapon moving forward, later taking advantage of the bonus fifth year granted by the pandemic.

Asadullah had decent contributions as a freshman but came into his own further into his career. He averaged 18.6 points and 10.1 rebounds in a dominant sophomore season in the year shortened by the pandemic. He has been Lennie Acuff’s best player since he took the Lipscomb job in 2019, with efficient scoring the next two seasons as well. His numbers were a bit down this past season, but he still averaged 12.0 points and 7.3 rebounds across his five-year career with the Bisons.

One of the conference’s best scorers and rebounders in recent memory, Asadullah earned First Team All-ASUN honors for three consecutive seasons. His interior offensive skills were paramount in Lipscomb’s success, leading the league in field goals and shooting percentage several times during that stretch. He didn’t become a major player until after Lipscomb’s prominent success, but Asadullah has been incredibly important in the ASUN these last few seasons.
