2. Dallas Moore
We’ve had a small handful of North Florida players on today’s list but Moore easily takes the cake among the Ospreys. A 6’1 point guard from Saint Petersburg, he went upstate to play a major role at North Florida, initially arriving back in 2013. By the time of his graduation, his impact to the Ospreys was certain and paramount.
Moore wasn’t just running the offense, he was also a major part of it. He started all 135 games of his career, including an NCAA Tournament game against Robert Morris as a sophomore in 2015. Moore scored 35 points five times in his career, including twice in the ASUN Tournament, as his scoring numbers soared as his career progressed. As a senior, he was averaging 23.9 points per game just one year after putting up more than 6 assists a game.
There was a lot to like about Moore’s career at North Florida, earning Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman, First Team All-ASUN honors as a sophomore, and ASUN Player of the Year for two incredible final campaigns. Moore led the conference in scoring in each of those seasons and was also the assists king as a junior. His offensive contributions were tremendous, and not even just for an ASUN player; his time in the league was all-around impressive.
