No. 9 Jameer Nelson Jr. (TCU)

Jameer Nelson Jr., The son of former NBA All-Star Jameer Nelson, was the 17th-best scorer in the nation last year, and now he moves all the way from the CAA to TCU and the Big 12.

Nelson Jr. is the leader of a great transfer class that includes Ernest Udeh Jr. and now they enter Fort Werth as a dynamic duo that can make a lot happen for the Horned Frogs. Nelson Jr. averaged 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.4 steals per game as he did just about everything one can do on the floor as a 6’1 guard.

It was clear that Nelson Jr. was ready to bring his talents to a conference and a program with more prestige than the CAA and Deleware, and he now has a chance to give himself great NBA stock with TCU and follow in his father’s footsteps.

The Horned Frogs have built a very solid unit through the transfer portal, and they have the talent to be a very tough team to beat especially once conference tournament play comes around. Expect him and Udeh Jr. to get along quite well, and cause some shockwaves in the Big 12.

Nelson Jr. now has an opportunity to show his elite scoring talents on a much more national stage, and with this team around him, he will absolutely be able to do so.
