There’s no shortage of entertainment in college basketball. No matter where you look in this nation, young people are shooting hoops and hoping for their moment to shine on basketball’s big stages. Each year sees memories made, shots taken, and moments etched out that will last a lifetime. Everyone from the nearly-retired head coaches to the bench mobs at low majors play their role in shaping this sport.

We’ve been unfolding the shape of those tales with our recent series, one that’s looked at the best players from each conference across the last ten seasons. We’re doing this series with every single conference, meaning we’ve looked at a few power conferences and a handful of mid-majors already. The articles are released alphabetically, and you’ve already enjoyed pieces from leagues like the ACC and Big East, but we’re still in the B’s today.

The Big South gets the nod today and they’ve given us plenty to cheer about over the years. It’s not a conference that regular produces household names, but it’s a league that has produced. Winthrop has been rock solid for much of the last decade, while programs like Campbell and Radford, and UNC Asheville have had their moments in the sun. There are players from a wide variety of schools on today’s list and also a few you may recognize from their time in other leagues.

We’ll get into the list shortly but it’s important to remember how this series works. We’re only looking at the last ten years, meaning that someone who started their career before that will still be considered, but those specific seasons don’t play a role in the rankings. Additionally, time in another league won’t alter their spot in the Big South Basketball rankings; it’s all about their years in this specific conference. Let’s get into those names.
