Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana had a need to replace its star big man Trayce Jackson-Davis this offseason, who ultimately ended up getting drafted. The team was able to add a pair of centers via the transfer portal in Payton Sparks and Kel’el Ware, who happens to be a former five-star prospect himself from Oregon.

If Ware ends up going pro after a possible breakout season, then the Hoosiers will need Queen anyways to take over. If Ware struggles, then they will over-recruit him if Queen really wants to go there. But seeing how the former Duck big man does will have an impact on Indiana’s chances in this one.

Kansas Jayhawks

Head coach Bill Self has a nice track record with big men that have offensive games, with Udoka Azubuike and small-ball five Jalen Wilson being the latest examples. And the best big man that entered the NCAA Basketball transfer portal agreed, with Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson picking the Jayhawks.

Queen’s chances of joining Kansas simply come down to whether or not Dickinson is taking that extra year of eligibility or not. Because this top-10 overall prospect isn’t going to pick a destination where he’s coming off the bench. The problem is that no one will know that decision until 10 months from now and it’s likely that Queen will have already made his own move by then.
