23. Roderick Bobbitt

Bobbitt is a 6’3 point guard originally from Oakland who actually began his college career at Indian Hills CC in Iowa. After a pair of seasons at the junior college level, he arrived in Hawaii in 2014 and became the starting point guard for the Rainbow Warriors for his two final seasons of eligibility, contributing on some significant program history.

As a junior, Bobbitt averaged 8.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 2.9 steals and was a great addition on both sides of the ball for the Warriors in a 22-win season. His second year in Hawaii was even better in every regard. Bobbitt put up 13.2 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game and helped lead the program to the Big West Tournament title. Bobbitt had 17 points in their first-round Tourney win over California, the first in Hawaii’s history.

Bobbitt led the Big West in both assists and steals in those two seasons and actually led the nation with his 100 steals as a junior. As a result, he was named Big West Defensive Player of the Year, establishing himself as the conference’s premier pickpocket. He earned First Team All-Big West honors as a senior and helped secure his place in Big West history as Hawaii pulled off that Tourney upset. Bobbitt wasn’t the star of the show, but he played a major role in the history that transpired.
