24. C. J. Bryce

Part of Kevin Keatts’ first recruiting class at UNC Wilmington, Bryce is a 6’5 wing who was a pretty solid contributor during his brief time with the Seahawks. He arrived back in 2015 in the CAA during a prosperous time for the program, though he’d leave after just two seasons, following Keatts when he took the head coaching position at NC State.

There’s still plenty to talk about in those first two seasons, with Bryce becoming a big contributor right away. As a freshman, he averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds a game, including a 16-point effort against Duke in the NCAA Tournament. He was far more impactful as a sophomore, averaging 17.4 points and 5.4 rebounds and helping get the Seahawks to another CAA Tournament title, with 24 points against the College of Charleston in the final.

It’s hard to be disappointed when you make two NCAA Tournaments in two years and are a major contributor in the process. In that second season, Bryce was named First Team All-CAA and the CAA Tournament MVP, developing into one of the top scorers in the conference. He shot a decent clip from all over the court, led the league in field goals, and would have very solid production for two more seasons in the ACC. At the mid-major level in the CAA, he certainly showed his talent.
