15. Oklahoma State Cowboys

One of the largest freshmen classes in all of NCAA Basketball, the Cowboys have opted to get younger after losing so much talent this offseason. Avery Anderson and former Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year big Moussa Cisse are gone, providing a chance for the newcomers to crack the rotation.

In the backcourt, Jamyron Keller and Connor Dow are three-star players that are long-term options for the program. But after landing Javon Small from the portal this offseason and John-Michael Wright back for another year, it’ll be hard for Keller to get a lot of minutes.

The frontcourt is where the potential of this group lies. Eric Dailey Jr. and Justin McBride are four-star power forwards, a position that’s empty at Oklahoma State. So there’s a good chance that one of them will start. And while the team added both Mike Marsh and Isaiah Miranda, top-40 center Brandon Garrison could still find a way to overtake them for minutes inside.

How good these bigs are for the Cowboys may ultimately determine where they end up in the Big 12 ladder. But this is a quality group to build off of for the future and giving them minutes to develop makes sense, whether they’re an NCAA Tournament-caliber squad or not.
