2. USC Trojans

It’s incredibly rare for a team not named Duke or Kentucky to have both the No. 1 ranked overall prospect, as well as the most notable for social media reasons. That’s what happened the moment Bronny James committed to the program.

Bronny, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is a good player in his own right. He’s a top-40 prospect as a 6’3 combo guard, known as a very good defender, and obviously a nice athlete. The biggest question with him is whether he’s a one-year player or not but USC will take him and his two-way ability.

To be clear though, the star of the Trojans incoming class is Isaiah Collier. He’s the No. 1 incoming NCAA Basketball freshman, a 6’3 point guard out of Georgia. He’s viewed as the best pure passer among ball-handlers and is a quality defender. Look for him to be one of the leaders in assists next season in the Pac-12.

Plus, there’s a pair of four-star forwards joining the team in Arrinten Page and Brandon Gardner, who’ll be competing for minutes at the four-spot. It’s going to be a young roster outside of returning leading scorer Boogie Ellis but if these freshmen are as good as advertised, this could be a darkhorse Final Four contender down the road next season.
