There seems to be no shortage of incredible moments in the sport of college basketball. Heck, the NCAA Tournament gives us a number of those each and every season. But the sport is about more than just those biggest moments, even if that’s what makes the headlines and gets the attention. There are so many hundreds and thousands of people affected by this sport who are telling their own stories, either as players, coaches, or other support staff.

In this series, we’ve been telling some of the players’ stories. We’ve focused one-by-one on the different conferences in college basketball and have been identifying the 25 best players of the last decade from each of these leagues. There are nearly three dozen athletic conferences and hundreds of players who will be mentioned in this series. Today’s focus isn’t on one of the bigger leagues, but there’s no shortage of talent in CUSA Basketball either.

Conference USA has undergone a great number of changes over the years and will look almost unrecognizable next season. Long passed are the days where teams like Cincinnati, Houston, and Louisville occupied the league, but the recent collection of teams aren’t stiffs either. The combination of Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, UAB and others have created for quite the competition and intrigue in this league, giving us plenty of players to consider today.

Before we begin, let’s just have a quick note about the way these players were selected. We’re only including seasons from the last decade, though players who started their careers before 2013 could certainly still quality for the list. Any performances that took place in other conferences will likewise not be considered but certainly won’t disqualify or impact a player’s potential for inclusion on the list. The CUSA is one of the better mid-majors in the nation and there’s a lot to love about the names we’ll see today.
