Ivy League Basketball: Ranking of 25 best players from last decade (2013-23)
By Joey Loose
4. Jordan Dingle
Dingle is a 6’3 combo guard from Valley Stream, New York who proved his impressive talents while playing in the Ivy League. He originally arrived at Penn in 2019 and stayed four seasons, clearly not playing during what was technically his sophomore season because of the pandemic. Around that, he had three really dynamic seasons for the Quakers.
He was already a great contributor as a freshman, but Dingle’s numbers really exploded after the pandemic. In his second season, he average 20.9 points per game and shot significantly better from the charity stripe. That season featured a slew of 30-point performances, though his senior year was even more explosive. In a 17-season for Penn, Dingle averaged 23.4 points per game and had his best numbers from all over the court.
Ivy League Rookie of the Year back before the pandemic, Dingle became the league’s top scorer in those next two seasons and earned Player of the Year honors this past March. All of his offensive numbers were really impressive, total 1537 points in three seasons with accurate shooting numbers as well. He’ll star at St. John’s under Rick Pitino next season and likely has to chance to be a monster scorer in the Big East as well.
