10. Marreon Jackson

Jackson is a 6’1 point guard from Cleveland, Ohio who got his collegiate start at Toledo. He was a big part of the Rockets’ program after arriving in 2017, starting nearly every game at the point for the next four seasons. Jackson would spend his bonus year after the pandemic at Arizona State, but we’re just looking at his mastery in the MAC.

As is the case for most college players, Jackson’s numbers improved with time, though he was already playing solid ball as a freshman. He had a 26-point performance in the MAC Tournament as a freshman, helping the Rockets to a ton of success early and often in his career. By junior year, he was averaging 19.8 points and 5.4 assists per game. Jackson had a number of other standout performances and put up similar numbers as a senior, getting the Rockets to the NIT.

The MAC’s top scorer in his final two seasons, he was named Player of the Year in the conference as a senior, taking Toledo to a regular season title while having a phenomenal season for himself. During that senior year, Jackson led the MAC in points, defensive rebounds, assists, and steals. He helped Toledo win 86 games across those four years before departing for Arizona State. His best work came with the Rockets in the MAC.
