Pittsburgh Basketball: Ranking confirmed opponents for 2023-24 non-con schedule
6. Purdue-Fort Wayne Mastodons
2022-23 season record: 17-15 (9-11 Horizon League)
One of the most experienced teams in the country last season, Fort Wayne loses its top four scorers, including all-league guard, Jarred Godfrey. They still have two senior guards left in Anthony Roberts and Quinton Morton-Robertson, who’ll each start in the backcourt. But without RA Kpedi, the frontcourt, which lacked depth last year, to begin with, is a massive question mark on paper for the team.
5. Jacksonville Dolphins
2022-23 season record: 13-16 (6-12 ASUN)
Another old team that lost a ton of production, only 6’2 guard Gyasi Powell and 6th Man Dylan O’Hearn are back from the main rotation. Jacksonville added multiple JUCO transfers, including Zach Bell and Sayhan Yetkin. Jonathan Kurtas, a 6’10 transfer center from SIUE, will need to have an impact in the frontcourt to give them a chance in the ASUN.
4. Binghamton Bearcats
2022-23 season record: 13-18 (8-8 AEC)
Two key players are gone for the America East program but they do return several key rotation players, including Armon Harried (11.8 ppg and 6.3 rpg), as well as veterans Dan Petcash and center Tariq Balogun. If Syracuse transfer Symir Torrance can have a big impact on the roster, Binghamton will fight for a top spot in the league.
