While true of all sports, especially at the collegiate level, college basketball always delivers. Every season is full of unforgettable moments, talented players, last-second shots, and memories all around for the coaches, players, and fans of the sport. Even the season torpedoed by the pandemic had memories galore, and so will each season in this fantastic sport.

In this long-running article series, we’ve been breaking down some of those stories and memories by looking at each conference’s best players from the last decade. This is not an easy task. Some of the power conference leagues had recognizable names dominate the list, while there are definitely a lot of less familiar names populating the mid-major lists. Regardless, we’re looking at every single conference and MEAC Basketball is our quest for today.

If you were designating low-major conferences, the MEAC is definitely among that bunch. This is by no means a shot or any disrespect at the league because there are some fantastic basketball programs in this conference. Programs like Howard, North Carolina Central and Norfolk State have had moments in the sun in recent years, though it’s difficult for these schools, as they play most of their nonconference slates away from home. Regardless, they’ve still produced a bevy of explosive athletes and talented basketball players.

Remember, this article is only about the last decade, meaning players from before 2013 won’t be included in the rankings. That doesn’t mean someone whose career started before then will be left out as long as they played seasons within the last decade. On that same note, we’re only considering their work in the MEAC. If they played in another conference, then those seasons will be mentioned but not included. We’ve got twenty-five athletes to investigate, so let’s get right into the best of the MEAC.
