4. Seth Tuttle

Tuttle is a 6’8 forward from Sheffield, Iowa who stayed in his home state and found stardom. He joined Northern Iowa and Ben Jacobson’s program in 2011, starting 136 games across the next four seasons for the Panthers. By the time of his graduation in 2015, he had become one of the legends of Northern Iowa, earning a place on today’s list despite our limit to just his upperclassman campaigns.

While Northern Iowa had a bit of a mediocre season, Tuttle averaged 15.4 points and 8.0 rebounds as a junior, taking a definite step forward from his previous years. Things came together nicely in his final year, leading the Panthers to a 31-win season that included an MVC Tournament title and a first-round Tourney win over Wyoming. Tuttle would average 15.3 points and 6.9 rebounds for the Panthers and become their clear leader throughout those upperclassman years.

Tuttle claimed First team All-MVC honors as a junior but saw his star shine even brighter as a senior. Not only was he named the MVC Player of the Year, but he was also a Second Team All-American. Tuttle led the MVC in field goal percentage, was the league’s most efficient player, and had great numbers across the board, spearheading an incredible bounce-back year for Northern Iowa.
