No matter what seems to happen before, during, or after the season, college basketball never fails to deliver. Through all the disappointment and agony of the postseason, the sport shows us its new stars and tells their stories. Each college basketball season is different from the last in a sport that’s ever-changing. One thing that remains the same is that there will always be hundreds and hundreds of unique players constituting this great sport.

We’ve been highlighting many of the great players in this recent series where we’ve looked at each conference’s best players from the last decade. Identifying all of these players is no easy task, especially since we’re looking at every corner of his nation’s basketball talent. We saw some national stars in the Big Ten and Big 12, but we’re not limiting ourselves to just those kinds of teams.

Today’s focus is on the OVC, which has actually been one of the nation’s most intriguing mid-majors at times over the last decade. For much of that time, Belmont and Murray State have basically clawed back and forth for the OVC Basketball crown. While both of those programs departed the league in 2022, their rosters make up a good chunk of today’s list, though that’s not all we have in store. Teams like Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, and Tennessee State have contributed some talented players.

Before we begin, it’s important to note just exactly how this series has worked. We’re only considering players who have played at these OVC schools in the last ten seasons. This means that players who started before 2013 can still be included but those previous seasons won’t be considered in the rankings. Likewise, seasons outside of the OVC at other schools will be mentioned, but we’re really just focusing on their work in this league. Let’s not waste any more time; we’ve got some great players to look through today.
