10. Tevin Brown

Another one of Murray State’s successful guards, Brown is a 6’5 guard from Fairhope, Alabama who fit in well with the Racers, starting back in 2018. He started all 125 games in his collegiate career and was instantly a hit in Murray State’s backcourt, starring for the final four seasons that Matt McMahon coached the program.

As a freshman, he averaged 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, helped the Racers to an OVC Tournament title, and scored 19 points against Marquette in a first-round upset in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Brown was an even more potent scorer going forward in his career. He’d hit 42% of his 3-pointers as a sophomore, averaging a career-best 17.9 points per game. During his senior year, he took the Racers to another OVC title and had 17 points in their first-round win over San Francisco, ending his career with a second trip to the Big Dance.

Brown took home First Team All-OVC honors in his final three seasons, developing into one of the best guards in the OVC in recent memory. He was a great scorer, finishing 2nd in the league in points as a senior, and led the way outside the arc multiple times. Brown contributed to three very successful seasons for the Racers and was an all-around impressive weapon for this program. As Murray State left the OVC right after his departure, you could consider him their final true great.
