20. Austin Luke

While not the major scorer that many of the players in these articles were, Luke played his role well at the college level. A 6’3 point guard from Rowlett, Texas, he was a very important part of the Belmont program for four seasons, beginning back in 2014. He was the starting point guard in his final three seasons and was virtually incomparable as a ball distributor.

After riding the bench as a freshman, he jumped into that starting role during a sophomore year where the Bruins won 20 games and played well. He’d average 8.0 points and 7.1 assists per game in his junior season, putting up slightly better numbers. Luke’s proficiency continued as a senior, a year which included an 18-point, 13-assist performance in the OVC Tournament, though the Bruins would fall just short to conclude a 24-win season.

Luke led the OVC in assists in each of those three years, averaging right around 7 assists per game in each of those seasons. A talented point guard, he was named First Team All-OVC in both upperclassman seasons for these contributions and was unsurprisingly among the national leaders in assists. While at Belmont, Luke set up his teammates for success, producing quite a ton of production for the Bruins during his career.
