School has started again which means the College Basketball season is about to get ramped back up and that means that the mid-major breakout players articles are going to be coming far more frequently to take everyone through the beginning of the season. This week we head to the Colonial Athletic Association, and more specifically the Towson Tigers who were one game away from making the NCAA tournament a season ago and the Tigers head into the season with expectations in the Colonial for the first time a while.

The Colonial has been an extremely competitive conference for the last decade and the league has always had a team who has a high level of talent and is able to give a lot of bigger schools a game. Last year it was the College of Charleston, the year before it was Hofstra. This year Towson is a team who suffered a lot of attrition due to graduation and their star player transferring to Kansas.

The Tigers and head coach Pat Skerry rebuilt the roster through the transfer portal. The last add for Towson is the most significant add for the Tigers. Nendah Tarke signed with Towson earlier this week and Tarke instantly becomes the best player on the Towson roster, and with more exposure should be one of those guys who starts getting talked about more nationally.

Tarke has been around a while, but it will be his first season in the Colonial after transferring from Coppin State. Last season the senior guard was part of a great duo of guards for the Eagles. Coppin State went through a coaching change and Tarke decided to transfer up from the MEAC to the CAA where he could become a star. The redshirt junior is the most experienced player for Towson, and he is likely going to get the bulk of the offensive looks and a ton of minutes for coach Skerry. Why is the new Towson guard primed for a breakout?
