Last season, Colorado Basketball went 18-17 overall and 8-12 in Pac-12 play. Their roster showed potential early on, including wins over top-25 opponents, Tennessee and Texas A&M. However, bad losses to Grambling and UMass, along with going under .500 in league play, caused them to miss out on postseason play.

The good news for the program is that the offseason went fairly well compared to many others. The top two scorers (KJ Simpson and Tristan da Silva) opted to return for another year, while also bringing back a couple of others that originally started games last year. Plus, they not only got a key transfer commit in the frontcourt, but the Buffaloes also have one of the top class of 2024 freshmen in Cody Williams.

But Colorado still dealt with some player losses this offseason. Starting guard Nique Clifford and former starting center, Lawson Lovering transferred out. And two key senior transfers from a year ago, Jalen Gabbidon and Ethan Wright are also gone from the team.

For this piece, I’ll be taking a look at the projected starting lineup and overall rotation as the team plays in a couple of months. There will be some givens but there’s also some questions, including who’ll be replacing Clifford at the two-spot and who’ll play the key backup minutes for the key starters.

Here’s what I came up with, using the traditional standard positions.
