LSU Basketball has been after many class of 2024 prospects this offseason. They finally got the commitment of one, in four-star forward Robert Miller.

After finishing last in the SEC in his debut season at LSU Basketball, Coach Matt McMahon clearly is looking to overhaul the roster. The team landed four transfers this offseason from the portal, along with a pair of incoming four-star freshmen prospects in Mike Williams III and Corey Chest Jr.

Yet there’s still more work long-term that needs to be done in order for the Tigers to get back to the top half of the SEC going forward. One area of need is frontcourt additions since GW transfer Hunter Dean has just one year left of eligibility and the two other big newcomers, Daimion Collins and Will Baker, are entering their 4th years in NCAA Basketball as well.

LSU has been after a number of forwards, making a ton of individual lists this offseason. However, they’ve yet to land anyone in the 2024 class. That changed this weekend, landing consensus four-star prospect, Robert Miller.

Listed at 6’10, Miller is from the state of Texas. He’s a fairly skilled big man, capable of spacing the floor and providing interior defense inside. His versatility and size allows him to play either frontcourt position insider, which is good for a team that lacks depth there, now that KJ Williams is gone.

With both Trae Hannibal and Jordan Wright also in their last years of eligibility, look for LSU Basketball to continue focusing on making other additions in the 2024 class. They reportedly recently took visits from five-star big man Derik Queen, as well as four-star targets, Nic Codie and Rakease Passmore. Pharaoh Compton also is set to visit in the month of October.
