Clemson Basketball: 2023-24 season preview for the Tigers

Clemson Basketball’s Schedule Standouts
Clemson will have 11 non conference games this season and they have some standout games. They will face a plethora of easier “buy” games where they are favored to win by a lot. Those games could be Winthrop, Alcorn State, Queens, and Radford. Some of the others are against smaller schools like UAB, Boise State and TCU (although TCU could potentially be a way tougher game by the time it arrives) . These are games where they should be favored to win but they will be remarkably harder than playing teams like Alcorn State or Radford.
If Clemson beats UAB then they will likely face Maryland for the Ashville Championship, which would be tier first real test against another power 5 opponent. It is always interesting to see how a power 5 team plays against their first opponent that is off the same type of talent.
On November 28th they get their first real road test by going on the road to take on Alabama. Alabama looks to be one of the better teams in the SEC and will be a real challenge for the Tigers. Keep a lookout for how Clemson matches up against Alabama in their first road test.
They then take on South Carolina at home, which is always an interesting game because it is a rivalry. South Carolina isn’t really known for their basketball but anything can happen in a rivalry game in college basketball. Any fan of the sport knows that.
On December 16th they will travel to Memphis to take on the Tigers. Penny Hardaway always seems to have his team ready to play, although Memphis always seems to struggle in the beginning of the season, this will be a tough game for Clemson.
