Schedule Outlook

With a roster in serious flux, it’s not surprising to see Notre Dame’s schedule featuring plenty of winnable games at home. They’ll open the season at home against Niagara on November 6th and have another home date a few days later before things get serious.

They’ll head to Brooklyn in mid-November for the Legend’s Classic, facing off against Auburn on November 16th before a matchup the following day against either Oklahoma State or St. Bonaventure. The excitement continues later in the month as the Fighting Irish will go to South Carolina, facing the Gamecocks as part of the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge.

After opening conference play with a really tough road trip to Miami, the Fighting Irish have just a handful of nonconference games remaining. That features a really tough test at Marquette on December 9th followed by a winnable home game against Georgetown the following weekend.

Likely significant underdogs in many conference games, the Fighting Irish really dive into ACC play in late December, getting a home stint with Virginia, NC State, and Duke. They do get a pair of games against Boston College, but only play Louisville on the road. There aren’t a lot of winnable games for a young, developing team, with Notre Dame also play home-and-homes with contenders Duke, Miami, and Virginia. Their regular season ends March 9th at Virginia Tech, one week after hosting Clemson for Senior Night.
