Key Reserves

Landon Moore, Guard

Incoming sophomore transfer Landon Moore will be another intriguing piece for the Bulldogs this season. Moore had an impressive freshman season at St. Francis (PA), averaging 13.1 ppg, 3.6 apg, and 2.8 rpg while shooting 36% from beyond the arc. Moore looks to further develop as a player with the Dawgs, and after an impressive freshman season, Moore could be poised for a big  year if he is able to adjust to Big East play. Moore will most likely start off the season as the sixth man in Butler’s rotation but should be continue to have stellar play, he could find himself in the starting lineup at some point this season.

Andre Screen, Center

Center Andre Screen joins the Bulldogs after three seasons at Bucknell, including two years serving as the team’s regular starter at the position. In his 23 minutes per game last season, Screen averaged 11.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, and 1.6 apg while shooting an impressive 62.2% from the field. Screen’s efficiency on offense will be a massive plus for Butler’s second unit and rotation as a whole, given the team’s aforementioned offensive struggles last season.

Finley Bizjack, Guard

ESPN top 100 recruit Finley Bizjack highlights Butler’s incoming recruiting class after an impressive high school, which saw Bizjack average 28.1 ppg in his senior year with Byron Nelson High School in Texas. The freshman guard has the potential to be an immediate impact on the offensive side for Butler, and will likely find himself coming off the bench to start the season as he adjusts to the NCAA style of play. But nonetheless, Bizjack has the potential to not only have an impact on the Butler offense this year, but be a massive piece for the Butler program as a whole in the coming years.

Augusto Cassia, Forward

Of all the incoming players on this roster, Augusto Cassia may be the most intriguing one of them all. Despite already being 21 years old, Cassia will have four years of eligibility beginning this season. Cassia has spent the last few years training with the NBA Global Academy. Cassia has also represented his home country of Brazil in the 2019 South American U17 championship. The 6-8 Forward will bring plenty of athleticism to the team along with some scoring capabilities from beyond the arc. If utilized correctly, Cassia could quietly be an extremely important player on both sides of the ball for this Butler team.
