4. Nijel Pack – Miami FL

Considered an elite talent already as an underclassman, Pack departed Kansas State in 2022 after a coaching chance and found a certain home in Miami. He was a major cog during the Hurricanes’ historic run to the Final Four, averaging 13.6 points per game while making just over 40% of his 3-pointers. He’s been a great shooter throughout the first three years of his career and looks to build on that as a senior.

Pack is Miami’s leading returning scorer, but it’s more than just the total numbers. He emerged as a leader for the Hurricanes and will do even more of that after some offseason departures. Pack takes care of the basketball and can be lights out from beyond the arc at times throughout the season. Having a player like this returning is a major win for Jim Larranaga, especially with the potential for another breakout for Pack.

3. Tyrese Proctor – Duke

Part of last year’s historic recruiting class, Proctor was a fringe Top 100 prospect, but he certainly found his footing as the season went on. He averaged 9.4 points, 3.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds a game for the Blue Devils and is certainly set up for even more success after opting to return to college as a sophomore.

Jon Scheyer knows that Proctor is a special player. He really got going late in the season during Duke’s long winning streak, which included an ACC Tournament title. Proctor has the potential to develop into a top-level backcourt presence and already rates as a very solid defensive player. If Proctor plays to his potential and has a sophomore leap, then Duke might have multiple All-Americans again this season because he’s a special young talent in this backcourt.
